Taking Steps When was the last time you invested in yourself? Not by buying a pair of jeans, no. By making small incremental decisions that make you into an even better person, Step-by-step.
C.S. Lewis once said, “What saves a person is to take a step... then another step.” When one step is followed by another and then another, you proceed closer towards your goal. Taking steps is what growth and change is all about. There is no magic to it. If you want to learn and improve, you need to put one foot in front of the other. Step-by-step. My name is David Ducklowand I provide Faith Formation (a kind of spiritual counselling) and Intentional Tutoring. I have also worked for 6 years as a Special Education Assistant, and am currently progressing towards my goal to becoming a chaplain. But there is a lot more to me than that. I have had an interesting life... and I have loved it! I am legally blind, and I have a B.A. degree in Psychology, a graduate certificate in special education, an M.A. in Spiritual Formation and am currently earning units in Clinical Pastoral Education (C.P.E.). How do I do that? Step-by-step, of course. I have worked with First Nations people (Babine Nation where I am an honorary elder), and in advocacy work in Uganda, in children’s camping and am currently working as a chaplain in long-term-care. I challenge you to invest in yourself, and look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and working with you as we take a step, and then another step. David Ducklow, B.A., S.E.A., M.A., C.P.E. |
