When was the last time you invested in yourself? Not by buying a pair of jeans, no. But by making small incremental decisions that make you into an even better person, step-by-step.
C.S. Lewis once said, “What saves a person is to take a step... then another step.” When one step is followed by another and then another, you proceed closer towards your goal. Taking steps is what growth and change is all about. There is no magic to it. If you want to learn and improve, you need to put one foot in front of the other. Step-by-step.
My name is David Ducklow and I provide Spiritual Direction (a kind of spiritual counselling) and Intentional Tutoring. I have also worked for 6 years as a Special Education Assistant, but there is a lot more to me than that.
I have had an interesting life... and I have loved it! I am legally blind and I have a B.A. degree in Psychology, a graduate certificate in special education, and an M.A. degree. How do I do that? Step-by-step, of course.
I have worked with First Nations people (Babine Nation where I am an honorary elder), the under-employed and disadvantaged (Harvest Project), in advocacy work in Uganda, and in youth camping (Keats Camps).
I challenge you to invest in yourself. And I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and working with you as you take a step, and then another step.
